Clay is one of the oldest building material, both durable and sustainable in its element. The proposed design infuse western elegance with modern arabesque inspirations to create exquisite sustainable clay pieces. The aim is to create a tile panel that makes a continuously altering surface on the wall. The tile is a modern interpretation of Islamic geometric patterns in a fusion of art and design. Further experimenting digitally with module variations and geometry, two module variations were created, a symmetric and an asymmetric clay tile. The piece can be adjusted and tailored in countless variations to form completely evolving aesthetic wall surfaces.
